Hi Linda, I too am owned by an empty nest Westie puppy. I just started on Spark recently and I am totally addicted. I have never paid so much attention to what I put in my mouth! Are you a Nana also? I am Nanny to the most adorable almost 4 year old boy,Aidan.

Hi Linda and a GREAT BIG WELCOME to our Westie Team!

Our Westies all seem to have one characteristic in common... they are spoiled! LOL It's hard not to spoil those sweet cute little guys and gals!

There is a lot of information on Spark People to help you live a healthier lifestyle, with tons of tools to available to use in helping you reach your goals. If you need any help getting started or finding what you need on Spark just send a 'shout out' and I will be right there to help.

Keeping that Spark!

Welcome Linda. One suggestion is to start using the fitness and nutrition trackers under the My Tools tab. Should help with the weight loss. Looking forward to seeing your Westie!

HI! I am new to the website and to the group. I need to lose weight and am challenged by health problems which cause problems with fatigue and meds that cause weight gain. UGH! With those odds, I need all the good cheer I can get and nothing brings that like a good Westie story. My Westie, named Gidget is 6 years old, acts like the female she is, and is our head of household. She is the empty nest child and is a bit spoiled but a true joy. I don't know what I would do without her. I can't wait to see everyone's Westie pictures and to upload mine. In the meantime, I can use all of the weight loss suggestions I can get! Linda
