Welcome Laura!! Your daughter is just beautiful!! I think you have made your first step in the right direction- you know you have to get this under control and thats tough to admit! And you already did that! Now take the next step to start making better eating choices and getting in a small amount of exercise daily!! You can do this--I know you are young but this disease doesn't care about that--you have to do this not only for you but your family! Just start by setting a couple of goals and stick to them--think about how good that will feel!! Good Luck!! Let me know how you are doing--ok.

hey everyone, my name is laura i'm 20 years old. the doctors found the diabetes when i was 3 months pregnant... 2 years later, i'm barely coming out of denial. i want to get it under control. i just feel so weak sometimes! i just cant seem to eat right, cant get off my lazy but and take care of things. I'm scared that if i don't do something it will be too late. then i leave a husband and daughter behind. i want to change, but i've always had a hard time with that, am i just young and stupid, is this normal. what do i do to get things together to control myself. i have a little over a year to get my sugar, weight and cholesterol under control... we want another baby. what do i do to snap out of this denial and realize truly that i must change?
