Hello! My name is Tiffany and I am a 40 year old stay at home mom to my two wonderful children. My son turned 3 in November and my daughter will be 2 in April. I have been working hard since January to improve my overall wellness. This includes losing 30 pounds, exercising 3-5 times per week, sleeping 7-8 hours each evening and simply taking better care of myself. I have lost about 12 pounds so far but I know I need help with motivation. I'm looking forward to connecting with others who are working toward similar goals.

Hi all, my name is Desiree and I'm 24 with a 16 month little boy. I recently graduated from college and after looking for a job and calculating the cost of gas and day care m.y husband and I decided it made more sense for me to stay home. This is a huge change for me, I'm used to not having a moment to breath and now I'm home all the time. This is a huge problem for me, because I am a bored eater. If I have nothing to do I eat and it's got to stop. I am currently at 209, and I feel horrible. My weight causes me to worry constantly about my health and keeps me up at night. I have to lose this weight for myself, my husband and our son, I want to be around and enjoy life with them. I have recently joined a group that walks twice a week and I've been walking on my own and doing some exercises at home. I don't really have a number I want to be I just want to be healthy again.

Hi! I am a 35 year-old stay at home mom with two precious little girls. My oldest daughter is 2 and a half, and my younger daughter just turned 9 months old. I've struggled with weight all of my life, and I've had a lot of dieting failures in the past. But I have to get it right this time, because I don't want my girls to grow up with the same issues I have. I am so glad that this team is here, and I am looking forward to learning a lot. Thanks!

Hi everyone!! My name is Amber I'm a 24 year old mom of an almost three year old. He's very active and currently going thru what my husband and I lovingly call the declaration of independence stage otherwise known as anything you can know I can know better i can scream anything louder than you stage. Which I'm a little embarrassed to admit has been proven on a few occasions. I am currently embarking on my lose the baby weight journey and as a type one diabetic I'm working on getting better control of that as well. I'm excited to join this group because I need all the support I can get from moms who are facing the challenges of being a sahm as well. Any advice on destressing, having quality me time, potty training (which has been on and off because I feel like I'm the only one ready to give up diapers) or just the issues that come with a kid that makes you question how something so cute and loveable can make you want to pull every last hair out and then start on your spouses :) is very welcome!

Welcome! I know how you feel having VERY LITTLE ONES who need a lot of attention. Mine are 4, 2, and 1, and they LOVE their mommy time. I'm new to sp too and I'm trying to find ways to get my workouts in and de-stress. I've been working out with the kids and it's been really fun. They get their fun with mommy time and I get a good giggle and a workout. I'm going to keep trying to incorporate other ways to spend healthy quality time. Let me know what works for you!

Hi everyone, I'm Sam. I am a SAHM with two beautiful girls. 2 and 3 1/2 (4 in July). They are both very active kids (aren't they all?). They have very different personalities and seem to need lots and lots of mommy time. I suffer from bi-polar disorder and had to be hospitalized in Sept/Oct for major depression and burnout. Now I am trying my best to get me healthy, find time for myself and my girls, and find some balance in there. II don't have any family really close by, closest is an hour away. I do have a very supportive husband but wonder how much more it will take before he goes insane! LOL Any suggestions or help is appreciated. READ: HELP PLEASE! I'M DROWNING
I love SP and want to lose at least 100 pounds this year. I can't wait to get to know you all and find out how you all do it. Are there Mom's (parent's) of young children making it work? I hope so. I'd really like to be one of them.

Every journey begins with a single step. Make sure it's one in the direction you want to go.

Only you can make your life what you want it to be.

Good Morning Ladies!
I am a 34 year old SAHM to an amazingly active 2 year old boy. This is the first time since I was 15 that I haven't worked and that in and of it's self is difficult! I also have the sweetest 5 year old daughter in kindergarten. We moved in July about 4 hrs. north of our home for the past 7.5 yrs so needless to say there have been a number of changes. I wish I could say that there was an excuse for my bad eating habits or that I can't exercise because of an injury but that's just not the case. Pretty much, I'm lazy!! That's why I'm back on Spark, yet again! I would love to be able to get back into shape and feel good about myself. So anyway, that is me and Hello everybody!

Cindy

NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!

Hi everyone I am a 20 year old STHM of a one year old boy, Byron. Me and my husband have been married for two years and I am currently going to school for a vet assistant certificate and soon I will be starting on my vet tech degree. I have severe Hyperthyroidism and struggle to keep weight on but don't like the way my Abs look a year after my c-section. I don't want to loose weight, I just want my Abs to look normal again. My other main goal is to get in shape for the next baby. I have severe Endometriosis and my doctor said I have to try to get pregnant by May or I won't be able to have a second baby. I am a stress eater and have low energy ALL the time and never really worked out. Oh and did I mention I'm moving from Chicago to Alabama in 2 weeks!!!

Hellooooo everybody!! I am totally new! I am a SAHM with 3 kiddos (Chase-13,Amelia-8,Gage-1) and 3 dogs (Spirit-6,Oscar-1,Blue-8mths) 2 boxers and a pit bull. :) I seriously need to stay motivated! I am also also having an issue with buying healthy on a budget for the WHOLE family. I feel guilty changing my lifestyle while feeding them crap, but like I said, CASH! lol. I will b going back to school in Feb. I already have 3 transferable associates degrees, but nothing occupational as of yet. That will change in about 10mnths...wooot! I lose motivation easily and so I do this AND Youtube vids to just try to get myself out there to be held accountable (hopefully)...and I talk toooooo much. Lol.

Hello everyone! I am a SAHM of 3 wonderful children. Two are at the school age and my youngest just turned 2. I feel I have no excuses for trying to take better care of myself. I've had alot happen this past year and It's time to get this wheight off. I have over 100lbs to lose and I feel a bit overwhelmed right now. I am a stress eater and when the kiddos would go to bed at night I would eat because I felt I needed that.
My daughter has some food allergies to wheat, soy, dairy, egg, oats, peanuts, and tree nuts and that has become the big change around our house. It has been a pretty difficult time with the struggles of finding good healthy foods that everyone will eat at our house. My two sons have sensory disorder making it difficult because of food textures. Some days I feel like I am a short order cook! I'm really glad to have joined this group I feel welcome already. Thanks for letting me share a part of my story.

Hi My name is April and I am a SAHM mom of a 3 year old girl and 6 month old baby boy, plus two step-children ages 12 and 9. After I had my daughter I was at the gym 5 days a week with a trainer and going strong. I lost lbs and inches big time and was in great shape. I was able to stay active at the gym during my pregnancy with my son til I was 7 months, then my sciatic just could not handle it any more. I immediately lost all baby weight with him he was 9.7LBS and I only gained 28lbs with him. But over the last 6 months I have slowly gained a lot of it back due to stress (I'm a stress eater) and a little bit of the baby blues. I really need support to not get any heavier than the 202lbs I am. My husband tries to be supportive but it doesn't always come off as helpful. I have zero will power so I need all the motivational support I can get!

I have always struggled with my weight and do not want my daughter to have the same issues I have had. I want to be a good example, not a "what not to do". Im looking to be more organized with my life and by doing that hoping to fit in more exercise and happier times with my kids. Happy New Year to all!

Hi! My name is Jennifer, I am SAHM to an 18 month miracle child. She was diagnosed with a rare liver disease at 26 days old and has had 3 major surgeries and 11 minor surgeries including a liver transplant at 11 months old. Her new liver isn't a cure, its just a trade from one set of challenges to another. When I got pregnant with her I weighed 135 and after I had her dropped down to 130, but because we were in the hospital with her for the first year I didn't really have a way to eat healthy...it was hospital food and what was easy in the microwave and then when we went to california for transplant it was hospital food and take out. My weight jumped to 169 and I am working to get it down into my weight range so I can start a second pregnancy healthy. My daughter is always with me so my excercise is limited to Zumba on the wii in the morning, and then going for a walk with her in the afternoon, and chasing her around the house and the park. My weight seems to be steadily coming off, just some days I have to get the ambition to get moving.

Hi! I'm Candice. I'm a 37 year old mom of 3 (ages 1, 7 and 10). After my first I found myself, by the time he was 17mths, ballooning to 199lbs. The kicker was I'd LOST 10lbs (the week after he was born I was 10lbs light than I was before I got pregnant). I did the same thing with my daughter (I'd gotten down to 175, was 160 after she was born and ballooned to 213 by the time she turned 3). My youngest is now 1 and I was, at one point heavier than I was when I conceived him (I was 204lbs but got up to 213 again). I'm down to 207lbs but I'm finding it hard to fit in exercise (especially now that it's winter and he's going for surgery tomorrow) and eat properly. The only thing that seems to be saving me is that we're still doing frequent nursing and I'm trying to watch portion sizes.

With his surgery, I'm also stress eating. At around 9pm I'm starving! It's not so bad now that hubby helped me realize what I was doing but I still find I'm eating at night.

Anyway... lol That's the long and the not so short of my story. :) I'm hoping that being in a group that understands where I'm at will also help me stay on track.

Thanks for reading!

Candice

Hi, I'm a young SAHM of a 2 1/2 year old girl and a 16 month old boy. I have 80 lbs to lose in the next year, but my more short-term goal is to like my pictures from Disneyland when we go in a couple of months, or at least like them better than I do now. I've almost always been overweight, but talk about baby weight:I have about 50 lbs to lose to get down to the weight I was when I got married 5 years ago. I already love this website. I've done Weight Watchers before but this is a little more comprehensive and it's free. Yeah!

Hello all stay at home moms! I'm a mother of 3 beautiful children that I just adore and love staying at home with them, but it's time for me to take the first step and put myself first. It's gonna be hard for me, but I want to get healthy for myself and for my kids. I'm just going to take it one step at a time!

Hi my name is Kayla, Im 28 and I am a SAHM to my three year old son, emmit. I have been a weight gain/weight loss person my entire life so far and right now I am at my most heaviest and quite digusted in myself. I want to lose the weight for my son as well as for myself. I want to be able to play with him and not get out of breath and teach him to eat good things too instead of fruit snacks and potato chips, which is where we are headed now. I have done this before but never stayed committed and I just wanted to join something where i wanted to learn how to eat better and connect with others who felt the same.

Hi I am HJ a 32 year old mother of 4. I am trying this again with the strong belief I am going to get it right. I have had the privilege of being a SAHM for 1 year now and loving. However it lead to the strong urge to get healthy and be a better mother to my children.

Hi everyone!
I'm returning to SP after a couple years of being away. I am a new mama to a beautiful 4 month old baby girl and I've been married 4 years to a wonderful man I've known for 10. In the last few years my weight has crept up into the 160s and after gaining 28 lbs during my pregnancy, I'm still carrying most of that around. Ugh. Hoping to shed about 60 lbs. Need motivation and time management tips in a bad way!

Never give up on a dream just because of the length of time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.

Hi Moms!
I am not only new to this team, but to Sparkpeople.
My name is Kara and I am mom to a 2 year old girl and a 6 year old boy. I have only been back to staying home for 3 months.
I have been married 2.5 months.
I am looking to get myself back on track. I have put on 20 lbs this past year and am having a heck of a time getting it back off.
