Hi! I was never the healthiest but GP is a BIG change from healthy to NOT healthy. Take care of yourself. Don't feel like you can't be angry/sick/upset/etc because you "aren't as bad" as others. Everyone walks their journey.

Hope you do improve! Welcome to the team!

Don't think of organ donations as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

Welcome to the team!

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

I already posted on your blog, but I wanted to welcome you here as well. This condition can be very difficult to live with so it's important for all of us to share our stories and work together. I've been studying the condition (and all that goes with it) for the past year since I was diagnosed and I've posted information around the team. Check out the forums and ask any question you have - anyone who can help will do their best to give you information.

You may also want to check out G-Pact, the non-profit supporting people with digestive tract paralysis (DTP) which includes gastroparesis and chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIP - paralyzed intestines). They are all about helping get the word out and helping people with the condition. They're at:
www.g-pact.org
www.facebook.com/GPACT
www.youtube.com/user/GPACT

Again, welcome to the team and look around. Feel free to ask questions or share information.

I have just found out that I have GP two months ago and lemme tell ya. I have been real healthy besides being overweight here and there and this has came to a shock to me. I have no idea what is the cause for this and my doctor cant either but he did tell me after my scope that he thinks its getting a little better so I am crossing fingers and praying. I am one of the lucky ones because its not bad as others and I am so thankful for that. I feel so sorry for those who are in hospitals just to get what they need to live. I am a newby and I am glad that you guys have a team because I am on a mission to lose weight and hopefully by doing this it will be better for me living with this GP. Thank you guys!
