Glad you decided to join us Kathy!
There's so much involved in these complex digestive disorders; take it one day at a time and take note of what works for you and what gives you problems. Hoping the dr's get you a definitive diagnosis sooner rather than later.

Hi, my name is Kathy and I want to thank Amy for inviting me to this team! I am so suprised to find this team here - I didn't know that gastroparesis affects so many people. I don't actually have a diagnosis of gastroparesis though. I've been going through the symptoms for years and all of the multiple tests for over 2 months now. My Gastroenterologist is leaning more toward functional dyspepsia, which is less severe than gastroparesis but has most of the same symptoms. I've learned so much and so many things make sense now, like why for years I have unexplained nausea and vomitting from out of nowhere, why bananas give me reflux, the insane bloating, and why some days I can barely drink a whole bottle of water among lots of other things. If it wasn't for the 2 years of chest pain from esophageal spasms I don't think I would be even close to a diagnosis yet. Anyway, happy to be here and i hope to get to know you all!
