Welcome to the team! I also have GERD and IBS to go along with the GP.
I'm on erythromycin for the GP and Protonix for the GERD.

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

You have a great day to! It's fun waking up to see messages waiting for me. (Trying sooo hard to break my hermit ways)

Me and meds really don't get along, I take anything more then 3 months I become immune to it. Which royally blows when I find a drug that works. Right now I'm just on Protonix for my Gerd, and even now I'm taking a week off it.

I've heard of Reglan but never thought about asking about it, I get around without feeling hunger pains so anytime I'm actually hungry I freak out. Hehe.

Smart girl, I didnt even think to take my IPod. ; / !! I just took a nap. My MD recommended I dietician that I am seeing next month. I will let you know how that goes. For now he has me taking the not so recommended Reglan. Have you taken that? If so, how does it affect you? I seem to be hungry all the time, does that mean it is working overtime??

Have a great day! ; )

Aw thanks. Yeah, 4 hours was pretty long to lay on one of those uncomfortable machine beds. Thankfully I had an Mp3 player to keep me from going insane!

Our bodies are just out of whack, but over the years I've learned to relish that feeling when the pounds do start coming off. Since we have to work harder, it means so much more.

Hello and welcome, I feel for you, although I do not have as many of the other problems as some of you I do know the pain and the disbelief you get from your family and MDs. Four hours WOW, that is a long time! I do also understand about not eating hardly anything and still have a weight problem, HOW IN THE WORLD does that work?? AND I exercise! Hmmm, well together with this team maybe we can work through it. emoticon

I never knew there was a group for this! For the longest time I thought GP was something my doctor made up to make me feel better....

Hi everybody, I'm Tentacles and I have GP. I'm 25 years old, and have all the other problems as well. GERD, IBS, GP, ulcers..the works. My doctors said I had GERD when I was just 16 years old. And his answer? Take a pill and go get some exercise.

I tried every drug under the sun to try to limit the pain, some days it used to be so bad I would refuse to get out of bed. My family thought I was bulimic for a long time since after every meal I would be vomiting it up, or I just didn't want to do anything so I 'Acted' sick. Yah I was really acting about throwing up all the time. At my lowest point I collapsed due to dehydration, that was fun...not. Had to take a full year off college because the pain was so bad I couldn't ride in a car without vomiting everywhere! Another year because I failed out of every class, wish I would of known about GP when I was like 20 or so so I wouldn't be paying for that now. T.T

At my last stomaching emptying test(Like 4 years ago), the nurses didn't believe it. They said it took 4 HOURS for that egg to leave my stomach. Thankfully I just slept through that test. Had to redo the test three times (over course of a year) so the doctor would believe me. My stomach just refuses to move, and it shows.

Sure I look like I weigh 260 and it shows around my stomach, but I eat barely anything! You would think it would just melt away. Sigh, at least you all understand right?
