Hi, I'm glad I found this group!

I'm another one who starts work at 7:30. I already get up at 5:30 and I can't see putting the alarm back any further than that to workout!

Sometimes I just need a little push to get me off the couch and doing something!

Hi,

I am glad that I joined this group, it is really motivational to read your entries. I started working out after work as well. When I work out in the morning, I feel dizzy even though I had a healthy breakfast. I go home in between work and gym but just to crab my prepacked gym bag. My gym is just a 2min walk away from my place (luckily) - so I have no excuses to not go to the gym. I figured out that I have to pack an extra snack (mostly plain greek yogurt with a fresh banana and cinnamon) and bring it to work. So, I can eat it before going home and I won't be hungry when I am at home. Otherwise, I will overeat and make excuses to skip the workout.

I enjoy working out after work. I am home by 5 pm, I fix dinner, eat, clean up the dishes and am in my workout room by 6 pm. I have tried to work out in the morning. I am not a morning person and getting up that extra hour to work out is just not for me. I have done it a few times, but I know I can consistently set aside an hour and a half in the evening. That works out best for me.

I work at a university, so when it is pretty outside I walk around campus on lunch. I am pretty active during the day. I usually put in at least 6000 steps before I get home. My husband works here also and he parks the car so I walk to the car every afternoon, which is another 15 minutes of walking. My biggest downfall is the fact that I work in an academic department so we are always having events for the students which usually involves some type of food or snack. Summer is coming though, graduation is May 11th, students will basically be gone until August, so I will have this type to get back on track and hopefully lose some weight

I agree with getting it done before I get home. I don't go to the gym but do stop for a walk on the way home. If I come home & sit down it's reaaalllly hard to get up & get moving again. Good for you for realizing this. Keep up the good work emoticon

Last night was my first workout after work and it felt great since I sit at a computer for 8 hours a day. I can't wait for tonight!

I've been trying to become more consistent in working out, and right after work is the best time for me, because I have to be at work by 7:30. I've found that I have to bring my workout gear with me and change at the gym. If I stop home first, It's all over!
