I KNOW, right! i could just sit. i woke up for the day, NOT on purpose, at like 330am. stayed and tossed and turned till like 5, showered and went to work early. then thought...shoulda gotten the gym over with. oh well. hopefully as i sit to put my gym clothes on, it doesnt glue me to the seat!!

I feel the same way. I took like my relaxing time after work. I used to workout in the mornings, getting up at 5:30 a.m. and starting my DVD at 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. But, I'm tired of getting up that early.

I saw this challenge and thought, why don't you just do it after work and see how it goes? I know I'm stronger and feel like my workouts are more productive, but now i'm sitting here at work wishing I had done it in the morning!!! Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I know that if I don't get out to the cemetery for my hikes it absolutely will not happen later. My recliner has magic powers. Once my rump touches the cushion, it sticks. I love sitting in my recliner, relaxing, crocheting and watching TV. So, I tell myself that I can have that treat after I do my hiking. I change before I leave work.

Honestly, that is the only way I will get my exercise in. Rarely, I will have a committment right after work but I try to avoid them. I usually tell people that I have an appointment right after work and can see them later.

I hope this helps because I truly understand where you are coming from. Shhh, is that my recliner calling me?

I have joined this group because for some reason there is always something that has been keeping me from the gym lately. All my efforts were going good until around March. I got food poisoning, then the flu, and finally started a new job that starts early (but ends early). More recently there has been some new struggles on my path to working out. I had set a goal, a friend as an accountability buddy and made full plans to go to the gym during the five week days and take weekends off from everything.

In the beginning everything was going great, I had even switched my 20 minute routine for a 30 minute one. I was even giving my fianc (who I use to go with, but would keep me from going as well) a show on my independence with going. A few days in and the next week was starting, and that's when everything started coming up.

I pretty much KNOW that if I don't go after work, I'm not going alone. So the first couple of times I had missed was because I gave my fianc the option to go later and held off without his follow through (yes I am aware this is my fault and I should have gone on my own) and then it was event after event. I was hoping for a fresh start this week, but now I'm frustrated because I was on my way home and boom, one of my friends calls for a favor...I was even dressed to go and, again, someone was going to be showing up at my house.

I really need to push myself, and I am hoping to get that jumpstart today, but this is kind of getting ridiculous. Are there any tips on how to get myself mentally prepared to not back out. I know balls to the walls I just need to go, but I think I need a revving up.

I am hoping being a part of a team will help :D
