Can you get a friend to walk with you. I recently created a Meetup activity through a meet up group I belong to. I end up walking by myself most of the time, but the fact that I 'invited' others, forces me to show up and get moving. I also bought a new walking suit yesterday, (fancy spandex pants, and a lime green top), you can't miss me out there.

I brought my gym clothes with me to work so I can go to the gym that is right by work instead of going home first and saying I'll go to the gym near home- because I never do.

I have to force myself to do some thing to make it stick so if you go to the gym every day weather it be for 10 minutes or a half hour you will get used to it and before long it will be routine and become easier. You may even find you have more energy to do it. It is alot about mind over matter and taking life 1 day at a time.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

As Lee stated you do it the 1st time then again and so it is a habit.

You do it by doing it once, and breaking the cycle.

You do it twice, and a few more times. You drop the naps and the wine, and realize you actually feel better.

You sleep better at night, feel more refreshed in the AM, and it not only gets easier, it becomes the preferred mode.

To change, you have to decide to change, and then start changing.

I don't know your circumstances, so their may be difficult factors, but the bottom line is (a) you have to decide to change, (b) you have to decide that your are willing to do what's required to change and you will figure out what that means, (c) you start small, and (d) work up from there.

You can do it.

I wish you the best,

I am not a morning person and there is no reason ie time/money/kids/illness why I can't go to the gym post work. Except I have zero motivation. I am mentally exhausted when I get home. I feed the cats and head for a nap or the TV and the wine.
How do you do it??? emoticon
