Tracking is very time-consuming some days! It is a good tool, though - until you get an idea of what you are eating and build habits and awareness.

I'm a little older and I like the Richard Simmons DVDs because I can keep up. I also have some from the $ store that are fairly good - more for strength training. The library has some if you want to try new types of exercise rather than buy a DVD and decide you don't like that type. I have a couple of Denise Austin tapes and don't feel like I get a workout but she claims that's all she needs to do to keep fit.

Welcome and good luck on tracking it can be apain in the emoticon , but it works. Sometimes I will track 2 or 3 days at one time.

Hi all,

First, thanks for the nice welcome to the team. I am the mother of a busy 20 month old and trying to balance work, school, family, and getting fit. It's a pretty hectic life, but I enjoy it. I have been on and off of sparkpeople for about a year now, and love the website, but seem to get burnt out on all the tracking. I'm going to give the quick track option a try and see if I see results, and if not, then I'll go back to tracking everything.

I'm on a workout dvd kick, so if anyone has any good recommendations, let me know. I have quite a few of the Biggest Loser ones and also a couple Jillian Michaels ones and they are all great workouts.

I'm looking forward to getting healthy with all of you!
