Tips and advice? Set up a public spark page - it helps people to support you and get to know you.

Diet & exercise - exercise won't make up for bad eating, but if you eat well, exercise helps to move any excess weight faster.

For me, cutting out snacks and eating whatever I wanted at meal times helped me lose weight initially.

Fruit and vegs are always good! Low calorie and full of nutrients. :-)

Cutting down on added sugar and sweeteners helps. Refined sugar is empty calories. The only benefit is energy which you would be wiser getting from something more nutritious. Artificial sweeteners have been shown to make people put on weight more than sugar. Maybe because it keeps the sweet tooth alive.

Welcome to Spark. I live in the US but born and raised in Stockton-on-Tees. My DH was in Thornaby-on-Tees.

Read the info you can find lots of it. Just pick what you need.
Make sure you begin to exercise try to walk 5 minutes and work up to 30 minutes worked for me.
Now I walk over 6 to 12,000 these days and I love it.

Biggest issue is PORTION CONTROL so PLEASE MEASURE YOUR FOOD.
