OLIVIANIGHT - thanks for the welcome!

SUNDAYSHERE - You're right I could be more prepared, though I do try already - realistically I'd still have times when that wouldn't happen, but I coul work on minimising them. A list is a very good idea - I already have to write lists for everything else! If I actually put it up in the kitchen it would nudge me when I'm not so good and brain foggy. Sometimes I just need to be told!

Hello everyone.

I joined the forum a couple of weeks ago thought I'd introduce myself here. I'm very nearly 50 years old and I have ME. This makes exercising while losing weight a big problem. I'm making changes toward a diet that can be helpful for people with my condition,as well as wanting to lose 42 pounds if I can.

I have in the past eaten when stressed, tired, bored, you name it. I don't do that much now, but find preparing the right things difficult when I am feeling particularly ill and out of energy and so end up going for the easy, unhelpful option.

Looking forward to persevering this time.
