Hi Whiteflowergirl,
Welcome. The usual reply to your concern.....that is your clothes seem smaller but your weight has gone up.....is that you are converting fat into muscle. It took me a long time to learn it but as well as weighing yourself from time to time it's a good idea to take measurements too. Sometimes the scale doesn't move or does move in the wrong way but when measuring you find your muscles are more toned and the measurements smaller.

I am in Medway, so welcome to SP.

Going with out food is not a good idea and will stop you loosing weight.

I have lost most of my weight with walking and do anything up to 50 miles a week.

Set your goals small and don't make a big deal when things go wrong as they will

Remember that SP is a support group and you have all the help you need here, just ask.

Try joining the 10 minute exercise challenge it is a big motivator. Look in the challenge centre

HI all, I started Spark 2 days ago and am trying to get through all the trackers and help on here. The thing that is bothering me is that, after being a couch potato for over 30 years I have just started walking, just around the block a couple of times early in the morning each day, it takes about 15 minutes and I plan to increase that soon, I weighed myself and have put on 2lb although my 'walking trousers' feel a bit looser, not much but I cannot work out if I have put on weight how my clothes are looser. I should point out that I have cut out chocolate (boo hoo) and no longer have sugar in my tea, my diet has also improved although I have trouble eating enough having not had breakfast or lunch for many years.Any help? or am I just going mad. x
