emoticon Nic, welcome to the team! I come up short a lot on fat and calories and to be honest I feel like it is okay to come up a little short, maybe a couple hundred calories.... to help fill that in eat a good breakfast like some porridge or some yogurt and granola, something with fat but good fat, low saturates.
Eat some nuts too to snack that will up your good fat intake but it only takes a few nuts, maybe five or six to give you 6 grams of fat so make sure you track.
Take calcium supplements and a multivitamin if you can to make sure you are getting the vitamins and minerals you need and you should do okay.
Pay attention to how you feel.

Hi, thanks for replying.

I'm constantly low on the fats section. I've made my trackers public now. Had a really bad couple of days due to work this week, so everythings gone to pot and gonna start again next week. I don't think ive hit the daily allowance of calories at all in the last week :(

My best advice would be to look at the carb/fat/protein goals and try to hit those. If you manage those, you're bound to hit your calorie totals and it will help you as to what you should reach for to make the target. Fruit is fantastic for carbs and a little bit of protein, not so great on fat (and you do need fat). Egg whites are great for protein, as are beans, and dairy products - and obviously meat! I don't eat anywhere near as 'clean' as I probably should, I'd rather modify what I like to make it fit the goals; I don't eat tons of fruit, I just don't like it much, so I eat enough to make myself feel virtuous and call it a day :) There are a lot of things to eat that are going to have good calories in them though without reaching for the chocolate :)

What are you low on in the carb/fat/protein sections? I'd probably be able to give a more directed answer if I knew that.

(Cross posted on main forum cos didn't know about UK one)

Hi, I'm Nic. 28yr old female in the UK. Started using this site a couple of days ago to help me lose at least 5 stone this year. Completely changed the way I'm eating and been religiously filling out my trackers. But despite feeling like I'm eating loads of fruit, veg, fish and meat....I'm coming up short on recommended calories everyday. Is this a problem? I was always led to believe that filling up on fruit and veg is a good thing. I really don't want to be reaching for a bar of chocolate just to boost my calorie intake every day.

If anyone has any advice or anything....I'd be very grateful

Thanks
