thanks.. I think I am just being impatient .. I think the thing that's making me so is although the scales are telling me I'm losing kgs I don't feel any smaller.. clothes don't really feel much looser and not one person has noticed or asked if I've lost weight.. I've seen people posting things like they dropped 10lbs and a dress size and wonder why my shape doesn't SEEM to be changing.. I'm not gonna be put off by it and I had left quite a few months between starting my weight loss and my holiday goal and I know it doesn't happen over night... I just need to get over myself and crack on with my diet...

It sounds like you're being quite healthy, and it's not a race, so I'd just continue doing what you're doing and enjoy the fact that it's working.
They do say losing slowly is better in the long term : )

I've got quite a lot left to lose.. I was 123.9kg to start and currently I'm 112.5 I would like to get to about 85kg eventually.. but I'm going on holiday in Dec so realistically I would like to be around 100kg for then.. I was hoping to get to 95kg for then but maybe by the new year.. I'm not so concerned by the actual figure that my weight is but more what I look like in clothes.. id like to get comfortably in a UK size 14 that's more my target than the actual amount I weigh.. thank you everyone for your very encouraging input.. I think I'm just being a little impatient .. and maybe need to add in the odd higher fat or carb item just to keep my metabolism going.. I do treat myself to leaving the skin on my chicken thigh once a week.... just cause I really love the taste... but really thanks again everyone...

Hi Jools,
Well done on your weight loss so far.
I believe doctors say you should try to loose 1-2 pounds per day so you are doing well for a sustainable weight loss.

Would you mind posting how much you have to loose as it makes a difference as to what you can eat and how fast.

If you are really eating as clean as you say ALL the time then you could be putting your body into starvation mode. You need to do something to keep your metabolic rate up. The best way to do that is do toning exercise. Some kind of exercise that works your muscles like using weights or body weight exercises.

But generally I think you are doing great and keep at it. X

I've been receiving spark updates for a while and find them very inspiring and interesting reading.. I've been on my own devised eating plan and whilst I've been losing weight I don't feel I'm doing as well as I should or could be.. I eat 3 maelstrom a day. fruit and fat free yogurt for breakfast.. minced beef and veg hotpot for lunch with veg at the side.. chicken or pork chop for dinner either with salad and very low fat mayo or hot veg or baked beans.. I rarely snack but have a banana or grapes or a low cal hot chocolate if I feel a bit hungry.. I eat no bread very very rarely pasta or potatoes and no cakes or cookies or alcohol.. I've lost around 11.5 kg in 13 weeks.. maybe I'm being impatient or is this about the right pace.. I walk around 40-50 mins each day and try to do another 20 mins on the treadmill when I an but I have an ankle injury.. long term.. which sometimes is just too painful to put any weight on.. should I be changing my diet or is approx 1kg a week about the weight loss I dhould be aiming for..
