Hey!

My name is Tobias and I am a student in Loughborough University.
I live in Cardiff with my mum and siblings.
I ran the marathon back in 2008 which has left my feet in a poor shape,leaving me unable to run for long distances anymore :(. I'm currently cycling and walking as well as looking for weight training (If anyone has some weight training programs be sure to PM me!).
Not being able to run and going to university has led to me putting on a stone :o
My targets for this website is to tone up and lose some flab!

Hope I get there =].

Hiya, My name is Char, short for Charlotte. :O) I'm here mainly for help to continue and to improve on my healthy lifestyle.

I follow a low Glycemic Index diet as I have type 1 diabetes.

Exercise is my downfall but I'll be starting with a personal trainer on July 6th and look forward to a fitter me. :O)

I am totally new to this. I've never been able to diet in my life but am gonna give this a go. Currently 11st and 5ft 1" so much too heavy for my height. Wanna get some weight off so I feel better.

HI everyone!
I am 28 and my name is Sarah and I live in East Anglia. I had a baby girl in June 07 and another girl in Aug 08 so I'd really like to get rid of the weight I gained during my pregnancies!
I have managed to lose 23lbs through ww already, but the points are becoming a bit boring so I thought I would count calories instead and see how that worked! It's nice to have this site here 24/7 to motivate me. Been watching a lot of x-weighted too!

I weighed in at 11st 3.5lbs about 2 weeks ago and I will weigh in on Thurs evenings. I need to get to 9st 6lbs.

The most important part of any journey is what you learn on the way.

Not really a newbie as I lost a whole load of weight with SP a couple of years ago and then really fell off the wagon.

Got 2-3 stone to lose again.

Currently on week 2 of the South Beach diet as carbs are my downfall. Finally feel like getting back to exercise again.

BTW, Tessa was my dog - went to the kennel in the sky last world cup season.

Hi there,

I've been a member of SparkPeople for over 2 years but I'm new to this team. In 4 months back in 2007 I lost 28lbs but I've managed to put on 23lbs since the beginning of 2008 :( so I've started again! And I've lost 4 lbs in the past two weeks - Yay!!

I'm looking forward to getting to know some UK Sparkers!!

I'm Sara and I'm 24. I've just joined spark because I was having no luck keeping track of calories etc on my own lol. Plus the support and motivation is always good.

Anyway I want to lose weight befire we move house in August as this is the heaviest I've ever been and I don't feel like me at the moment. I have just had a baby girl last August though so now is the time to stand up and do something about it methinks!

hi there everyone,
I joined up yesterday but i've been using the site for a while before that. Anyhow, My first weigh in was last Friday at 192lb and i decided to lose 2stone to take me back to what my weight was a couple of years ago. I'm getting into the new exercize regime but the crunches are killing me!!!

Hello, I am Kim, 23 from Wolverhampton.
I lost 3st with weight watchers - put 2 and a half back on.

I wanted to join again to get it back off but decided to give Slimming World a go. However the *you can eat as much free food as you want* meant I did and so lost no weight with that.

I now work shifts any time between 8am and 10pm, so even if I wanted to give meetings a try again chances are I'd give up due to work...

So I found this on Google while searching for diet plans and I am SO impressed! It's like a 24hour meeting! Good times!

I well and truely intend to get the weight off, get healthy and stay that way.

I've been on Sparkpeople for ages but only really eating right and exercising last January. I fell of the wagon the last 2 weeks and put on 5 lbs! Eek!

Hi everyone!

It's good to see that I'm not the only one! I've got few kilos, around 5-7, which are attached to my hips and belly and I'd like to rid off. They've came slowly the last 9 years and I feel that I have to lose them now or it will be even more difficult as we are planning with my partner to have a baby in the next couple years.

Unfortunately, my last 4 kilos didn't came because of pregnancy (so no good excuses) but because of 6 months writing up my thesis (sitting in front of computer everyday and eating cookies). It's going to be 2 years now and they are still there well attached with the extra others 4 kilos I took after stopping my intensive sport, which was figure skating 10 years ago.

So back to sport and healthy diet because as a French I love to eat. Nightmare.

My name is Mark and I live in Brighton, East Sussex.
I'm married to Sue and we have three sons and two dogs.
I'm planning on losing around 7-8 stone (98 - 112lb) but I'm going to give my self smaller targets to achieve on the way.
My first target is to lose around 2 stone (28lb) by the time I go away on holiday in August 2009.

I've set myself a goal of reaching my targets by promising myself a flight in a vintage aircraft when I succeed, probably a Tiger Moth or a De Havilland Chipmunk like the ones I flew in when I was in the Air Cadets.

Hi all, been a spark people member for years but never taken it seriously until this last week!

I'm married with two teen boys, one of whom turns 18 next month (oh gosh that makes me feel old). We live in Shropshire, and I work just 10 hours a week for the church we attend.

Started about 10 days ago at 19 stones 9 pounds. Last weigh in (some time over the weekend) was 19 stones 3 pounds!
I have an awfully long way to go, but because of various health issues it really is now or never!

am normally a reasonably fit person but had hysterectomy in Feb, add a complication and I've been sitting about alot and the weight is going up! Just found this site & would like help with using the nutrition tracker using more UK food (I know we can get alot of US style food these days but not what I'm used to)
