The AS has made my neck very stiff. Physical therapy has been the best thing to relive the pain and stiffness. I started the therapy 1 year ago and the therapist told me that I had to keep doing all the exercises or else I would just stiffen back up. Exercise is the key to reducing pain and stiffness. But do it under the guidance of a therapist.

I have just been diagnosed with arthritis of the neck. I am going in for a bone scan to see what is going on with C-1. The tips of my cervical spine or deterioating.

I am a nurse and work with my neck being stiff and painful. When I work I can not take my muscle relaxer around the clock. My neck feel so much better with the muscle relaxer. My husband wants me to medically retire. I feel it is better to continue to work to keep my self mobile.

I have to see what the bone scan says and if I can continue working.

I also have fibromyalgia.
