I am so happy!!! I found out my girl, Suzie, who taught Zumba at the other gym I went to that closed, is now teaching at the Y. I can finally get back into a Zumba class. I am soooo excited!! I REALLY miss doing a class.

Yes....we watch anything dancing!!! I also take adult tap, mom and me tap, and ballet(1st year)...my third year, and am the sub teacher for the under 5 ballet and tap at a dance studio!!! I wanted everyone to know that you don't have to be a size 0 to dance!!!

SYTYCD is wonderful!!! I love that program. My girlfriend's son Evan came in third. He is awesome!! In Oct. we are going to go see his tour in Detroit. Should be alot of fun!!

Bluebronco89, that is so great you and your daughter do that together. It really creates a bond!! Have fun and enjoy, they grow up way to fast!!!

I'm 31, and my daughter and I go to Zumba 2x per week together, she is 11. It's great to do something together!! And of course we laugh and do some thing active!

Well, I lost 2.6 at Weight Watchers today!! WooHoo!! I am getting my motivation back and feel good about it all!! Thank Goodness, it's good to be back!!! I will be back soon at my ticker!!

I talked with my pilates and bosu ball instructor. She is a nutritionist and a personal trainer. She said that what maybe happening is that I ma building muscle. Once I have more muscle it may then lead to fat loss. She also suggested tweaking the diet. I change up my routine constantly. Yes my blood pressure meds may make it morwe difficult for me to lose weight.

But on the positive side, my calf muscles are very well defined. They can be seen without me having to flex them.

Sara,

From what I have been reading, I think that we have to tweak our diets and mix up our workouts. I am trying both, trying desperately to drink eight glasses of water without parking a cot in the bathroom,eating bigger and healthier breakfasts, and doing more weight training. I will let you know if it makes any difference. I wonder sometimes if the meds that I am on are affecting me adversely Between thryoid, bp, and hrt, it is a wonder that anything is working. Hope some of those ideas might be useful.

Keep the faith-we will are getting healthier every time we do something good for ourselves!! emoticon

I think our bodies go into SHOCK sometime and it starts trying to protect the stored fat.

I got this info below from a bloodsugar101.com site I go to in order to keep my blood sugar in a good range so I don't have to take Med's.

When You Stall

"A "stall" is the term for what happens when people who have been dieting carefully suddenly hit a period where their diet stops working and they cannot lose another pound. Stalls can last weeks, months, and yes, I'm sad to say, years."

Mine has lasted from Oct. 4, 2008 to now.

I am currently feeling that way. I lost 30 lbs. so fast, now at around 150-155, I've TEMPORARILY plateaued. It's ok...we will get there Terri!
