Welcome. This is a great group. Women with similar interests and challenges are here.

Take things one at a time. Set small goals of habits you want to change. Examples of these are drinking your water, walking ten minutes outside each day, adding veggies to your life, weighing and measuring your food to see how much you are eating.

When you have weighed and measured the food you normally eat, then enter it in the Spark nutrition tracker (one hint from a book I read is to dish up the normal portion THEN weigh and measure it.) When you know how much you are eating, you can then set goals to eat 500-800 calories less than you are currently eating. This will give you the weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week. While you can lose a lot more initially when weighing a large amount, a goal of 1-2 pounds is a good one.

Reward your habits you develop and not the weight loss. Then you will be thinking more of the behaviors that will make you healthy.

I look forward to learning more about you and getting to know you better. Be sure and join discussions and interact with team members.
