Greetings Sue & crew! Sounds like you're making good progress. I have a lot of weight to lose but tell myself I'm need to lose 5 pounds! (And then another 5...and then another 5...repeat for ages. :-) ) You'll do fine.

I grew up with a miniature poodle. My vet has Bostons & thinks they're just the best dogs!

If the weight loss food doesn't make a dent in the little ShihTzu, it might be worth getting his thyroid tested. Some dogs can be hypothyroid & need a supplement. Quite a few Bassets are! Mercifully, it's a fairly cheap easy fix. You're great for taking the little guy walkies!

Looking forward to hearing more about you & the kids! Happy 4th!

Hi. My name is Sue. I visited your team and enjoyed your stories.

I have a Boston Terrier,Bauxley, and Colman is my mini-poodle. Colman and I are taking dog classes. I several goals for him and myself. But right now walking is suiting us just fine.

My son has an overweight Shih Tzu. I go to his house 3 times a week and walk with him. I call him "my 4-legged Spark buddy". I have been walking him for 3 weeks -- still he hasn't lost an ounce. So I bought him some "Weight Management" food and told them to cut back on his food. Hopefully, Gizmo and I will lose our weight. He needs to lose at least 16 pounds. I just lost my first 10 pounds and have 20 more to go.

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
