My 2 Jack Russells love thier walks!

Before the dog park opened up by my house, I walked Bailey EVERY DAY, lost about 15 lbs, then the dog park up the road opened.

That was great for the socialization, and he could run full tilt in a secure area, but not so good for me, as I just stood there.
Now, I'm getting back to walking them, they love the park too, so that's been cut down to a couple times a week, and walking the rest. I am currently learning to jog, so I look forward to them being my jogging buddies, they enjoy the walk so much and the faster I go, the happier they are.

A dog is one of the remaining reasons why some people can be persuaded to go for a walk. ~O.A. Battista

My boys keep me going. I don't have an excercise regimine per se, but the classes I take with them - Rally and Agile/Obedience - are really good physical therapy for me. One of them, Skittles, is the reason I'm walking at all.

I too have incredibly bad knees and must be very careful on my runs. Plus my running partner Opus has the start of elbow displasia, so its super important that not only I stretch but that Opus get stretched too after his work outs. Thats why he got doggy massaged tonight.

Dogs are wonderful exercise partners. Dora (the aDORAble pary LabraDOR) keeps me getting her walks in. She would probably love if I would run, but my knees will not let me do that anymore.

Hello,
I have 3 dogs and 1 in particular that is my exercise buddy. Opus is a beagle basset mix that is a great running partner, and also joins me in Doga (yoga with your dog) and today we are doing a dog massage therapy class. I also have a Jack mix Cailin and a beagle lab mix Bubbles. Cailin is a lazy jack and doesn't care to run, I think the road hurts her princess paws. Bubbles is new to the family and is still learning, but I would love to have her join me on runs.
For now Opus is my good boy and is easiest to work with. I love running with him, he keeps my pace, keeps me motivated and gives me someone to talk to while running.
