emoticon Welcome to the team and to SP. I wish you much success on your journey to a healthier you. Fibro is a terrible condition and can destroy your life, A lot of meds for fibro can cause weight gain which really stinks. 6 months ago I decided it was not going to win. It has not been easy. One day at a time and one step at a time equals one pound at a time. Use your trackers each day they have helped me a whole lot. Read success stories the help to keep me motivated.

welcome to the team. We all are in the same boat here and I find that yoga is the best exercise for me. My rheummy thinks so too. When I flare I do chair exercises and when I can I go to the heated pool and exercise there. The bad thing with that is, the hot water wears me out quicker. Remember to stay above 1200 calories a day so your body doesn't go into hibernation mode and make it more difficult to lose weight. Walking on flat surfaces helps my joints not hurt so much so maybe that's an option for you too. Have a great day and take care

I'm an almost-33 year old mom living in BC with my husband and two boys (11 & 14). I work an hour a day at an elementary school and I'm taking classes online part time. I've learned to pace myself, but exercise is still a major issue for me.

I've been diagnosed with FM for two years now, and the worse my symptoms get, the more difficult weight loss becomes. I needed to lose quite a bit before my diagnosis and I've gained considerably since then. I weighed myself a few days ago and found that I'm now about 110 above what I should weigh. It scares the heck out of me, but I'm having a hard time finding things I can do to lose weight without setting off flares.
