It sounds like we have a lot in common. I struggle with a lot of the same issues. But I try to remind myself that while I'm not satisfied with my current physical appearance and know I need to work harder to lose weight, I do appreciate my body in other ways. Overall my body is healthy and we've been through a lot together. Then I remind myself that I'm responsible for taking better care of my body if I'm not happy with something. There is always more than I can do (exercise longer, more frequently, meal planning and healthy cooking) but honestly, some days these things take a back seat to being a mom and other priorities. So I cut myself a little slack if I'm being too hard on myself and work harder when I find myself being lazy and making excuses. It's hard to know the difference sometimes and it's a daily balancing act to put both into practice. Thanks for sharing with the team. I hope we can help encourage you to meet your goals and love all of yourself again in the process. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Welcome & good luck! I've discovered that weight management will always be something I have to work at. It's not easy but, as you know, so worth it!

I am 34, been married for almost 15 years to my amazing husband, whom met me at 17 and spunky. I was pleasantly thick in the right places, but was always the BIG girl compared to my friends. We have two wonderful boys who are very active in sports. I lost 80 pounds about 7 years ago and felt wonderful, then I changed to a desk job with high stress and pot lucks galore and gained 100 back. Now here I am fat and sassy, however, disappointed with my reflection. I love my inner me and my family, I hate my body. I know I will never be small and don't really want to be. I would just like to feel normal again.
