Technically I introduced myself 2 years ago. But since it's been two years, I feel the need to do it again. My name is Amber, but I go by Ash. I'm an Air Force wife of almost 8 years. I have two autistic children, ages 4 (a girl) and 2 (a boy).

I started sparkpeople at 236 lbs with 91 lbs to lose. Although I was religious at tracking for a couple of months, I got distracted. But I didn't stop trying to lose the weight or be healthier. I'm down 52 lbs and 2 jean sizes =) Past the halfway point!


Keep time in its proper perspective. Remember the past - treasure the happy memories, but do not let what "used to be" outshine today. Learn from the painful memories, but do not let past hurts and angers rob you of your life and loved ones. Look forward to tomorrow - there is hope and unfound joy in each new day; but never get so caught up in what "could be" that you forget what is. Always take time to enjoy the love and beauty of the present moment; for life is lived in todays. - Me
