Hey everyone. I'm Milessa (Lissa) and I'm just trying to get some of my Spark motivation back. A friend recommended joining some new teams so here I am. I am, obviously, a parent of preschool-aged kids. I have an amazing son who just turned 2 and a great stepdaughter who is 4 and lives with us full-time. I also teach 15 2-year-olds on a daily basis so I am surrounded by kids all the time. It's exhausting but fun.

I have always struggled with my weight. When I got pregnant with my son I gained a LOT of weight and shot up my heaviest. I'm finally committed to getting it off for good. My son is active, silly, and loves to play and I want to be able to keep up with him as he grows. Both my kids and my hubby love the outdoors and I want to be able to join them in their enjoyment.

I've got about 65 pounds to lose to reach my ideal weight. I work at the local YMCA so I have gym access just about every day (not that I'm at a point where I go on weekends yet). In January I joined a program at work called BeFit which consists of 2 hour and a half fitness classes a week, for 12 weeks. So far I've lost about 5 pounds and I'm really liking the classes- we do all sorts of workouts and are just getting into the really intense stuff after a few weeks of intro-level classes. One of my goals throughout the program was working on consistently tracking my calories. I prefer a handwritten method than to tracking electronically.

Anyway, that's me! I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and helping each other along in this journey. :) Feel free to add me, message me, etc!
