Welcome!! There are alot of great people on this site and in the group...don't hesitate to ask questions, or share your successes and obstacles. Look around and get comfortable with the site. I just started blogging and journaling and found out that it really helps me, but the most important thing is tracking your food and exercise. emoticon

PS That is a great start!! Every little bit helps!! Try finding new ways to like vegetables, like roasted or doesn't always have to be a boring green salad!!

Hello fellow team mates!

I am a mother of 2 preschoolers and I work full time. I have been attempting to lose 20 pounds for the past year or so and I'll do good for a few days if im lucky a week then i just give up. I have no will power and it seems as if im addicted to sweets just as a druggy would be drugs! Sorry to put it out there like that but it is honestly the truth.

Any who, thanks to a good friend of mine who is AMAZING, I've decided to give this another try. I found Spark People through a review on accident and so far I think its great! This might just be exactly what i needed to get my butt in gear. What I am definitely looking for is a supportive team and for people that go through what im going through and who understand.

I look in the mirror literally EVERYDAY and hate the way my body looks. Ever since ive had kids and just have let the pounds add up it just disgusts me and thats not how i want to live and see myself. I am a fun, energetic person who wants to NOT have to worry about what number size in jeans that i can fit into. If I could just lose 20 lbs it would make the world of difference to me. Seems as if I will really be into the whole I wanna lose weight and I'll have ONE bad day and then it all just goes down hill from there, and i find myself thinking, "who cares!".... but I really do care, something i have to keep reminding mysefl.

With that being said I am the WORST person with dieting. I don't eat hardly ANY veggies and as you know when your on a diet those are supposed to be your best friend. I have a hard time finding things that I can eat and trying to get away from the things that I know I shouldn't eat. Stress plays a huge factor in the way I eat on a daily basis too.

So this is pretty much who I am, I'm young and I'm struggling to lose 20lbs. So wish me luck and I hope maybe I can turn to some of you for support or advice in the future.

Burned 237 calories tonight while home alone with 2 screaming toddlers. That's a start right!?
