Hi! my name is scarlett and i am 26 year old mother of three...4 year old emma, 3 year old solomon and 1 year old julianna. before having kids, and even after baby one, i led a very active, health oriented lifestyle, but after baby two i slacked some off, then completely off after baby 3. i work part-time as a RN on night shift, which provides me with horrible eating and sleeping routines. I've got these stupid last 10 lbs to lose, but more so i need to tone up and start eating right again. I'm an emotional eater and the last two years have been super stressful for me so my habits have def. gone the wrong direction. i struggle a lot with anxiety and depression and know that an active, healthy lifestyle would help me with that too...i'm exhuasted all the time and seems like there is no time to do anything when a baby isn't crying, so i'm on here for support and motivation.

Hello there! My name is Elizabeth and I am a mother, wife and I also work full time. I am the lucky mother of an active two and a half year old boy. I joined this site to drop the extra 20 lbs I have been carrying since my sons' birth so I look and feel better and also to gain more energy so I can be more active with my son, even after a day at work. Hi Everyone! I'm Kristine, 34 years old, and I have a son that will be turning 3 end of May. I'm an accountant and work about 45-50 hours a week, so any free time I have I want to spend with my son. So squeezing in a workout routine hasn't been top priority these last few years.

Today is my first day at Spark. I was on WW first and lost a few lbs and found it to be effective; however, the monthly fee wasn't. Anyway, I found Spark through browsing the web and I am very motivated to give this a try. My goal is to lose 25-30 lbs. I would love to see how everyone else handles a hectic schedule with work, kids, eating healthy, and getting the physical activity in without having to lose sleep time!

Ive been on spark for a while on and off BUT im back and ready to let the skinny women out of this body.... Im a working Mum full time and a full time Mommy.... Ive gained and lost LOADS of weight.. lately its been more of gaining weight lol this morning i hit my highest and Ive had enough

Im tired of making excuses on why im fat...

I need LOADS of support ... sadly my Hubby does get how hard it really is.... im an emotional eater and a bored eater BUT im going to change my leaf i look forward to getting to know everyone here and making some new friends :)

Hello Everyone! I am Heather Solomon, a 24 year old mom with a daughter that just turned 2. Hello everyone.

Call me Trinity. I am a 43-yr-old mother of 5. My two youngest children are 2 1/2 year-old twins, a boy and a girl, and they are a delightful bundle of mischief. All the things they say about the twin-bond are true, but it makes for some adventurous times when they egg each other on to far more trouble than any one small child could get into alone.

I gained 70 lbs during the pregnancy, and have lost all but the last 10-odd. It has been a real struggle to let go of those last few pounds. I'm hoping to make proper changes in my habits so that I can say goodbye to the extra weight for good.

I am a 27 year old mom of three amazing little girls! I want them to have a fit and active mom! I have had so many medical issues and I look forward to getting back in shape and whooping these illness tails! I live at the lake, and am going to be running among the wilderness, so if I don't show back up on here, I may have been eaten by wildlife :)

I am 26 I have a 4 year old little girl and a 2 year old little boy. I am a full time stay at home Mama, and wife. I feel like I have either been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 4 four years. Its time to get me back. I lost a ton of weight after having my son due post-pardum thyroiditis. I have gained much of it back. I want to lose 30 pounds. I love being outdoors and being active outside, walking, hiking, playing tennis, and ruinning after the kids.

My name is Rebecca and my 3 and a half year old daughter is Ruby - and as full of fire as her name implies! My husband and I both work full time so Ruby attends a Montessori school for way too many hours a day. We're trying to teach her healthy eating habits as well as struggling to find time to hit the gym. Regardless, we are a happy family.

Hi everyone! I have been lurking her mostly since I've joined but I decided it was time to go ahead and introduce myself.

My name is Tabi and I currently live in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am happily married and have two beauitful children who are 5 (girl) and 3, soon-to-be 4 (boy). Along with being a full-time mom, I am also a full-time Software Testing Analyist for a company that develops their own software to make their business work. I also am a 3D freelance artist on the side so I'm always on the go, trying to balance life.

Since my life is so busy as it is, it has been rather hard for me to find sometime to where I can take care of my body and lead a positive example for my children when eatting healthy. I want to loose the weight for myself but also to show my children to take care of themselves.

I am so glad I found sparkpeople. This is just the motivation I need. I am a single mom of an energetic and bubbly 3 y.o girl and we live in the twin cities, MN. What with working full time, trying to buy a house and enjoying the early spring, exercise tends to take the very back seat. Today is the first day on sparkpeople and I can't wait to see how this week goes and how many of mt goals I achieve. After a lot of diet and exercise I am failing to kick off the last 10lbs. I am giving myself 5 weeks ie 2lbs a week, which means no room for mistakes (sorry sweet tooth). Can't wait to get in touch with all you guys and read your inspirational and amazing stories. Hi everyone! My name is Kristin and I live in TN. I have two little girls age 3 and 10 months. I've been on this team for about 2 weeks or so but I haven't introduced myself. My name is Sonja, I'm 27, and I'm a mother of a 2 year old and a 1 year. I was basically pregnant for 2 years and it took a toll on my body. When I got married to my hubby I was 198lbs. and I was able to drop some of the weight because I stopped drinking soda. When I was pregnant with Amery (my son) I got to 197 lbs. and then dropped the weight pretty fast. Once I had Isa (my daughter) I was 178lbs. and I dropped down to 160lbs. Since I have joined sparkpeople I have dropped 2lbs. My goal is to be at least 140lbs. My husband isn't very helpful because when he gets home from work he want to eat junk food, and he makes it so hard. I don't want to be super skinny or anything I just want to be healthy for myself and be more active for my kids.

It's great to be on a team that can keep you motivated and help you reach your goals.

That's not sweat, it's my fat cells crying!

Hi everyone! My name is Nicholle, I am the mother to three wonderful children. My daughter who is 10 and I also have twin boys that are 2 and a half. I work full time and also am pursuing my bachelors degree online full time. I have been over weight since my daughter. I am at a point now where I am just plain sick of being this way and am ready to do something about it. I have a family history of diabetes and know all too well how it feels to lose someone close from the disease and I refuse to leave my children because of something that I change! Hi! My name is Steph, I am 28 and I have two daughters - Z- my baby - will be two next month and my big kid - R is 4.5. My girls are very energetic and it is hard for me to keep up with that! I have been married for 7 years in May. I work full time, commute for an hour each way and then have the kids and husband on top of that. We are very busy - so finding the time to exercise has been put to the bottom of the list for so long. I had always been thin throughout school, but when I entered the real world and got a job sitting at a desk the weight started packing on. I realized that it has been 10 years since I was at a healthy weight and I am ready to be there again!!

I understand how you feel. I have three kids. I gained weight with all of them and ended up at 240lbs by the time my youngest was born. I was miserable and just couldn't get rid of it. I really didn't talk about it much to anyone either. I had really bad habits myself. I did end up losing 80lbs. last year. I did it one day and one behavior at a time. And I had a lot of support from a website similar to this. If I can do this, so can you. Keep in touch.

Hi All,

I feel like I have written a post like this a million times since my son was born. I am still trying to lose the weight I gained from my two kiddos pregnancies. My son is 5 yrs old and my daughter is 2 1/2. I have 35lbs to lose. It used to be just "baby weight," but I have definitely fallen into terrible eating habits. I really use food as a comfort and normally feel too tired to cook healthy meals. I make sure my kids eat healthy, but can't seem to do the same for myself!! I am constantly tired. I know that I am finally ready to lose this weight and have more energy. I really don't have a ton of support though, because of my fear to talk to people about it. I am definitely embarrassed to talk about it.

This looks like a great team though...and I am really hoping to find a good community of support here.

Hi there, I'm Erika and I'm brand new to the spark and actually brand new to any plan for weight loss. My whole life I've been one of those sickening people who could eat without restraint and be a moderate exerciser without putting on weight. Now I am about to turn 31, and am realizing that this lifestyle must change..

My husband and I adopted our beautiful daughter Lucy (now 4yrs) at birth, and gave birth to our son Collin (now 2 1/2) a short 16 months later. I stay home with them and love it. They are high maintence, particularly my Lucy who has some special needs (language delay and sensory processing disorder), so i feel that I have been in "survival mode" for the past couple of years.

Right after birthing Collin, postpartum depression plummeted me to 15 lbs below my pre pregnancy weight only 4 weeks after delivery. When i became well I gradually enjoyed food again, and then eventually started to enjoy unhealthy foods too much. 30 lbs later, I now have a goal to lose 15 lbs. I am finding this is hard to do when I am constantly caring for the needs of my busy kids. Perhaps this group will bring encouragement. I don't know how realistic it will be for me to become a regular poster, but I imagine I may lurk here from time to time so I may as well introduce myself! Thanks!

My name is Kathleen and I am a stay at home mother of two girls, Lucy, 6 and Lilly who is about to turn 4. Lilly was diagnosed with autism when she was just shy of two but has been making great strides with therapy. My name is Brandi.. I am the mother of three an 8yr old, 4yr old, and 19month old. I have been married 11yrs.. I am wanting to tone up and develop better eating habits..I am a stay at home mommy and love getting to spend time with my children.I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and that is what brought here my good friend..I hope to get to make alot of new friends and go on our journeys together.

Hi, my name us Brooke. I am a mother of 2 boys, the oldest is 5 and the baby is 2. I am currently in nursing school and working part time. when I got pregnant with my oldest I gained 60 pounds. after having him and going back for my 6 Weeks checkup I had lost 40 pounds, but then gained it all back weighing 175 pounds.I kept that weight for 3 years until I had my 2nd child, then weighing 165. I have been managing my weight between 165 and 169 the last 2 years and i'm really wanting to get my body back .between my weight, school and work I don't have the energy to keep up with my boys, who are crazy wild.

My name is Ann - I am 23 and my oldest son is 3 years old. I put on a lot of weight when I got pregnant with him and had the idea that after he was born the weight would just dissapear without any extra work from me! Now that I have had my second baby and he is 1, I am starting to realize that I need to start focusing on my own self and my own health in order to keep up with my very high energy, fast paced boys. I want to lose weight for a large part because of them. So that they have a positive role model about healthy and fitness in their lives, so that I am able to keep with them, so that I can live as long as possible to see them grow and to show them my love, and to be able to lose my horrible self-esteem issues and feel confident taking them out to the park or a new playgroup!

Hello everyone. My name is Brandi and I am a single mom of a 3.5 year old daughter. After going through a divorce and spending 2 years commuting 2+ hours a day, I gained about 40 pounds, in addition to the 20 I had from my pregnancy. So I'm hoping to use SP and Weight Watchers to commit to healthy eating and living for me and my daughter.

My husband and I are both retired. I am Maw Maw and he is Paw Paw to our daughter's daughter. She will be 2, March 20th. Jade has spent most of the last 5 months 24/6 at our house. It is definately a tag team effort for everything from morning routine to the bedtime routine. I believe she makes the choice as to who she is going to please and who's buttons she is going to push to the limit. I missed out on soooo much with my children growing up at the babysitter's house. It is like watching them grow up all over again through Jade's eyes. She is a blessing to us and floods our house with joy.

Hi everyone! My name is Brandi and I am a proud mother of 3. My youngest is 3 and she has started preschool this year. After Savannah was born, I had all intentions of losing my excess weight but that didn't happen. We spent her first year in and out of the hospital and believe it or not, hospital food IS NOT that healthy... She has a list of medical diagnosis half a mile long. and now that she is stabilized, I have decided it is time to focus on my health and keep my medical conditions under as much control as possible. Without my daughter, I would not be where I am today (out of an abusive marriage, engaged to a wonderful-supportive man, and confident that I can complete anything I put my mind to). She has given me the strength to push through the worst to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi! I'm Toni - a 30 year old mother to a wonderful two year old little boy that has been diagnosed with high functioning autism and apraxia. I gained a ton of weight (50 lbs) when I was pregnant - and it never actually left me. I tend to be an emotional eater but all that is changing now. Jordison is my motivation for a healthier lifestyle - and he's 2 so it's totally time to kick this weight :) My ultimate goal is to be in better shape and to ward off things like diabetes that runs thickly in my family. I also want to teach Jordison how to make good food choices and the importance of getting out and moving - skills that I'm having to learn on my own now.
