I did a lot of brown rice today and that seemed to help some. Maybe I just need to fill up on fiber so I'm too full to crave. That seemed to work today. Fiber and lots of water.

Hi!

Looking forward to getting to know you! I have two boys, also! (3 and 1)

Sounds like you're definitely headed in the right direction!

I like the Dentyne Fire, but there's only so many pieces I can cram into my mouth at once. emoticon

I'm also good on the water. I had read that eating sweet root veggies is supposed to help so I increased my carrots and yams, but it didn't seem to help either so I've been looking at adding healthy desserts like fruits and fruit juice gels to see if that will quell the cravings.

I hope you have a great day too!

Hi Ericka!

Glad you checked in! Aaaaaah, the dreaded sugar cravings. Are you getting the headaches from withdrawals? I just went thru that recently. It was awful but the good news is, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

Do you chew gum?? I found that helps sometimes. How are you with your water drinking?

Are you still battling depression? I found walking to be the miracle exercise for me. I'm so glad you have not given up on yourself and are recommitted to regaining your health. You are worth the time and effort it will take to do this.

Looking forward getting to know you more. Have a super day.

Hi, I'm just coming back to Sparkpeople to try to get a back in the groove. A year ago I lost nearly 50 pounds and then sunk into a super deep depression and gained 100, now I've lost 30 and have 70 to go and I'm craving sugar so I'm looking for support. I turned 40 last year and have 2 wonderful little boys ages 3 and 2 and I got married to a wonderful, loving man. I work full time and miss spending time with my kids. For exercise I do Callanetics and yoga and I follow a macrobiotic method of eating (that's whole foods). I hope I can be a supportive member of the team too.
