I'm Meredith. i have lost over 30 pounds these past couple of years, but recently gained 5 back. I want to lose that five pounds and possibly get rid of the last 5-10. I would like to start jogging again and maybe tone up a little more. Especially before next year when I will be a brides maid. I wanna look hot for the wedding :)

My name is Marilee...Hi Everyone :-)

Over the past four years I've lost 117 lbs...lost 105, gained 30, lost 10, gained 12, lost 34...etc...lol. The reason for this is my eating habits mostly. I can be really good about eating healthy and then sometimes the binge monster comes out of me...sometimes for weeks at a time.

So far for the past 2 months i've done great...and the binge monster only came out 1x...I managed to control it the next day and get back on track. Any tips on coping w/ the binge monster would be appreciated!

I enjoy jogging and want to commit to doing it regulary again. I also enjoy getting my butt kicked by my personal trainer 2x a week.

My goals:

1) Jog, even if it's just a mile...at least 1 time a week
2) Go to the gym on my own at least 1 time a week.
3) Tame the binge monster w/in me :)

What do I need to do... hmm

OK- I need to whittle my waist by 2 inches... this doesn't put me at my desired weight, but it does take me from being an "avacado" to a "pear" with a substantial bust ;)

What am I good at? Listening to the emotional message behind the words... I'm working on my master's degree in marraige and family therapy and I LOVE it!

What is my secret? I sing the blues like nobody's business and now that I'm in my 30s, I'm letting it out :D

HI I'm SUZI AND I DO A LITTLE BIT OF EVERY THING! I LOVE TO WALK/JOG ON A TREADMILL. I ALSO LOVE A GOOD SPIN CLASS AND I ALSO LOVE TO RIDE OUTSIDE~MY FAVORITE DVD'S ARE LESLIE SANSONE WALK AWAY THE POUNDS! I ALSO LOVE WATER AEROBICS CLASS. IF YOU TIED ME UP I'D PROBLEY LEARN TO PLAY A KEYBOARD WITH MY TOES....

I joined this group at the beginning of the month and have found you very inspiring.

I'm a mother of 4 boys, my oldest will be 20 in May and lives on his own. Then I have a soon to be 17 year old in May as well, he is currently a Junior, then my 13 year old who is in 7th and the youngest is 10 in 4th grade. I have a child at every level of education now. LOL I have two step daughters that are 22 (she just started back to school and will finish in September) and a 19 year old.

I have neglected myself for many years and that is why I look the way I do now, that and depo shots. However, I am here to help finish this job. My first goal weight will be on a heavy side. Once I drop to that weight, I will re-think if I want to lose an additional 20 lbs or 40 lbs for my final weight.

Thank you so much for the tips, I joined the couch to 5k team...I do have an elliptical as well, so far I can do about 30 minutes if I really push but running on pavement is totally different and I hate that out of breath feeling. Good music really helps though :)

MONIQALEX - Try Couch to 5K...it starts you off easy and builds you up to running 30 minutes. The secret to running is to do it at your own pace. You should be able to talk while running, unless you are racing, which is when you push. Slow jogging is running and as endurance improves, speed will too! If you have any questions just ask!!!

I hopped on an eliptical (which only makes your thighs and butt bigger), I started at two minutes and worked my way up to ten. Then I switched over to the tread mill and worked up from walk, fast walk, jog. I can't run on pavement, though. I can jog for up to ten minutes now with a good warm up. Try the eliptical with some good breathing exercises. That worked out really well for me.

I am trying to walk more and start jogging. I can't seem to run for more than a minute without getting out of breath. Any suggestions on building stamina. When I started I was over 200lbs, I find its a little easier at 175, maybe that is the key.

I'm a walker...brisk walking is good for me. So i'm looking for somebody who likes to walk. I'm a stay at home mom for now who has a 7 month year old. I start grad school in June so I'm pretty soon I'm going to have to transition to that. I love writing my goal is to have a book completed by the end of this year. I need help with portion control. My favorite exercise is walking and taebo. Well thats it for me

anytime it is below the neck, it isn't recommended to stress your cardio system, it can lead to pneumonia. The general rule of thumb is gentle, like walking, but nothing that can make you break a sweat! get better!!!

ok thanks will do!

today was day 2 and i am soo proud of myself since i have been sick i was surprised i was even able to jog at all! LOL!

but i have to get this weight off and i will by any means necessary because i CAN NOT CONTINUE BEING SICK!

I want to complete a marathon before i leave this earth!! LOL!!!

I do have exercise induced asthma and i have been sick so i am building my wind back up they say!

So i have started doing intervals on the tread mill...i run at 3.5-4.0 and rest at 2.8 for now!

i open for your help!

I run! I can help anyone who wants to learn to run or has any questions regarding running.

OK girls, we all have our own missions, goals, secret wishes, etc. There are 327 members of this team and somewhere out there lies someone who can help you reach your mission, obtain your goal and help make your secret wish come true!

What do you need to do??? Tell us what you need help with, what goals you have you need help reaching and what secret wish is in you that wants out or find someone you can help and help them!!!!!!!
