I've done c25k a few times. I havent decided on a strategy yet. Im trying to have running be more effortless versus me trying to get through that many minutes so i can say i did it. Right now ive been doing about 4 miles on the treadmill and doing intervals of jogging sprinkled throughout. I will probably keep doing that, but try to increase my jogging intervals. I am going to see what the book suggests too. That gets delivered tomorrow:) im about to go out for a walk with my mom right now!

Awesome that you are getting moving again!! Well done:-) Are you working with a run/walk to 5k program? It would likely help get your base set so things don't feel like a struggle. There are several out there...I used Couch to 5km program from Cool Running, but Spark also has one that (from what I hear) is great:-)

Hugs!

Hey, team. I am trying to enter the world of running yet again. I lost 85 lbs with Sparkpeople a few years ago. I completed a few 5k's, a 10k, and a half marathon. However, all of those races felt very forced and were always a struggle. I want to improve my form and get to a point where I could run or jog 10 miles without having to walk. Right now I can probably do about a half mile and the most I was ever able to do without walking was probably 2 miles. I am 40 lbs heavier than my lowest weight, which makes things more difficult... however, I want to give it a try and "be a runner." Some people make it look so effortless. I would love to really enjoy running and have that be my lifelong hobby. I bought the book Runner's World Complete Book of Beginning Running and am excited to read it. I also have a newly acquired treadmill in my basement. This week I did 17 miles (mostly walking) and am getting back into the routine of moving again.
