Hi, my name is Lori. I am new to the group. I did a C25K program last summer but ended up with a knee injury this winter that kept me from running. I started training for a 5 mile race late winter and just completed that race. I have been doing this on my own, so am looking forward to the discussions and learning from others.

Hi my name is Christine and I am just beginning a walk and jog program recommended by my weightloss coach. at this point I am walking for 3 minutes on the treadmill at 3.4mph and jogging for 2-3 minutes at 4 - 4.2mph. I do this for 30 minutes. Hoping to be able to soon increase my jog to a full run by the end of August and increase the time of the run so that I run longer than I walk.

Hi, I'm BJ. I've walked a few 1/2 marathons and 5K's in the past but I'm looking to get into running and preparing for a 1/2 marathon in January.

A little about myself: I'm a medical student currently living in southern Mississippi for my 3rd year rotations. I married my best friend a couple years ago and she has been very encouraging in my attempts to get back into the shape I was when we met or even better. She is a year ahead of me in school and travelling for her 4th year rotations so we are training separately to run the 1/2 marathon together. She got me into using Run Trainer Pro on my phone and I'm going through the training programs on there. I'm also into swinging kettlebells and before med school was active in martial arts.
