Missy, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your grandson. My husband and I lost our newborn son in 2003, and for a long time I felt as you do -- nothing in life held any interest. Please continue working to take care of yourself, it is the best thing you can do for yourself and your family, even though it is so hard right now.

Hi, my name is Missy! I have been dieting most of my life. My weight has fluctuated all my life. After I turned 40 in 2011, my metabolism stopped. I had always been successful on weight watchers, but now it doesn't work. I am having a problem staying motivated because I see no results. Some sad times in my life this past April. April 14, 2013 my 23 day old grandson passed away. I have little interest in anything anymore at the moment. And exercise is not on the top of my list, but I need it. It helps with depression and this weight problem I have. I just want to start seeing and feeling results. My main goal is to be healthy. The scale doesn't concern me. It is the way my clothes fit and how I feel. So, here I go again. Going down the only road I've ever known. Like a drifter I was born to walk alone....sorry got off on a song.

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Hello. Just a quick intro. My name is Ophelia and this is probably my 5th time joining SP. I always think I have it all figured out and stop visiting the site. Hi, I just started using spark. I think it really helps to log in track my nutrition intake, along with my exercising. It helps me to keep track of everything. I also find the videos helpful.

I think it's a great idea to challenge yourself differently every day - no chance to get bored. It also helps to focus on something other than the scale going down.
As I'm hoping to be pregnant soon I know my weight won't be going down dramatically over the next months, but I'm sure this team will encourage me to keep building healthy habits. emoticon

Hello all! I am not entirely new to sparkpeople, I was a member for about three years and then my schooling got in the way of my healthy lifestyle. I am back with more determination than ever to succeed. I look forward to the one day challenges to help me in my healthy living and lifestyle changes I need to make. Hi all...I have decided to join this team because it seems like a good idea to do a challenge each day.

I have been on SP off and on for 5 years and have struggled ALOT!!! this last time I have hit my biggest weight ever, 380, and that scared me. I decided i needed to change. Its 3 weeks (almost 4) into my new lifestyle and I have lost 13lbs and 5in...so I'm very excited!

I'm trying to be more involved in SparkPeople, after using it only to track my nutrition and exercise for awhile. A challenge a day is a good idea, what I need to keep myself motivated and involved. I just have a little weight to lose -- after it started creeping on, and it's not coming off, but at least I haven't gained any more! So, focusing on eating well (a new thing for me) and at least maintaining my weight.

Hi everyone I am Restarting i was on sparks less then 3yrs ago was doing very good when i just stopped and yes sad to say i gained over 20lbs of it back so I am starting over today and pray i rise to the challenges that are ahead!
