Exactly, MUIRGENAGAIN!

I love the unity we can find in diversity. And this team is very diverse.

I took an online quiz that told me I'm a "Spiritual Atheist", so I guess I am one. I always thought I was an agnostic.

I do know I'm not a "Militant" atheist. They get on my nerves as much as my extreme "fundamentalist Christian" relatives who call me a "heathurn". It's amazing how little true tolerance for others is exhibited by the people who are "religious for show".

I'm not anti-religion. I just believe there are many paths and we each deserve the right to choose our own, without having others "look down" on us and judge us. Whatever floats your boat. No crosses or praying hands on my SparkPage, just one nasty little "team logo" for Separation of Church and Weight.

Yesterday, my daughter who teases me and calls me "almost an atheist" asked me to "pray to her Lord" that a certain situation goes well for a friend. When I told her I wasn't about to pray to her Lord, she smiled and said, "Well, then, can you just play 'Amazing Grace' a few times on your piano?" That, I will joyfully do.

No worries about fitting in here, VICKIE. You'll meet some wonderful people who will not hassle you about your beliefs. And a lot of them ARE religious, just not the pushy kind.

I think this is exactly where you will fit in. I'm not an atheist, either, except in the way that agnostic is technically a type of atheist.

Separation doesn't mean 'no religion,' just that it doesn't have to be part of your Sparklife - especially when you don't want others' beliefs thrown in your face. . . emoticon

Hi,
My name is Victoria and I am new to the team. I was not sure whether to join or not as I did not know how well I would fit in.
I am not an atheist, but SP is far far too fundamentalist for my comfort level. I am very spiritually minded and what I have to say/ask of my Maker I do in the privacy of my bedroom, I have no need to wear a sign and have it plastered all over my sparkpage, I just do not feel comfortable with that level of 'piety '.
Ok, ok, I will get off my soapbox now ! emoticon

I am glad to be here and hope I have found a home.
