By all means, Druids and heathen Unitarians, are welcome here, too.

We have a lot of that emotional eater stuff in common, and we're sneaking up on our goal weights so that we don't awaken any sleeping bullies.

It sounds like you're one of our people. Get acquainted and have fun.

Hi -
I'm Maggie, newly back from a couple of months in my own little cocoon.
I read some posts and intros before joining this team, and I feel like I might've found a really great "home" on SparkPeople. I was about to start my own "Happy Anarchist" team in semi-desperation. Not against anything, mind you, just free from ... well, you know.
I love that the description of the team includes a welcome to everyone, Christian, atheist, Druid (I assume) - I was raised by heathen Unitarians, so, respect for all is sort of in my blood.
AND I tend to take myself a little too seriously sometimes. This place seems like a good antidote for that ~:-).
Weightwise. Emotional eater here, history of eating disorder decades ago. I have forty pounds to lose and I do best when losing slowly. I feel the eating disorder isn't gone, it's just a sleeping bully. Best if I don't disturb it. Big weight loss or deprivation wakes it up and it snarls at me.
Thanks for reading - looking forward to getting to know you all.
Maggie
