Greetings from a Houston Sparker .... happily married mother of four, stretching our dollars.

I work out of my home part-time for a nonprofit organization. I am a Regional Director for AYUSA and help match foreign exchange students with volunteer host families. I work with schools and organizations, plan events, supervise exchange students' stay in America, etc. So, I often end up feeding more than just my own - but yet some kids who are here on loan :)

My house is also that neighborhood house where all the kids seem to end up ... play time, snack time, dinner time, you name it!

Trying to stay healthy, improve our diets and get my picky eaters to enjoy better balanced eating habits and try new things :)

It's been a slow process, but we are moving away from processed foods, eliminating a lot of things - especially high fructose corn syrup. I'm learning to cook 'for real' and losing the title 'microwave mama'. I have fallen in love with my crockpot!

Oh - and I love Angel Food Ministries - big life saver.

Looking forward to learning more about the fine folks on this team.
