I'm Andi- 29 years old, married for 3 years and wanting to have a baby soon. I'm afraid to get pregnant because of my weight for health reasons and selfish reasons- I know I would wind up close to 300 lbs if I got pregnant now. My blood pressure is teetering with being "high" and I want to avoid that...I relate VERY MUCH with the having a hard time sticking to things. I have to completely obsess with something and stick with it - I usually start to phase out once I start to see results (ironic, huh?). My weight is something that has been on my mind every day most of the day for the last couple of years. It's interfering with my confidence- I went to put on my husband's life vest Sunday to ride our jet ski and it didn't fit- HELLO! Now that's a wake up call. Amazing how something so ridculous sent me in the house in tears....I knew I had to do something about my dangerous relationship with food when I tried to find a cute life jacket on line that would fit- NOT happening!

I just started on Slim Fast today so hopefully it will work. I know that they have different varieties of shakes and bars such as low carb, so I might try that if I do not see a difference in the first few weeks.

Good job on your loss so far! Hopefully I will be saying that about myself in a few months!

Hi Christine! Welcome to the team!! I've always struggled with weight loss and I'm not very good at sticking with things. Since I've been on SP (slightly over 2 months) I've lost 16 lbs and that was really in the past 6 weeks at about 3 lbs per week. I struggle sticking with certain things from time to time now but because I get on SP every single day it holds me accountable and I manage to correct any problems within a day or two. I hope to have continued success and I wish you the very same. I hope SP is exactly what you've been looking for all of this time!

How is Slim Fast working for you? I tried it 3 or 4 times and I would lose at first but it had too much sugar and I'd start gaining again. It wasn't fulfilling for me because it wasn't real meals and it left me hungry. I caught myself snacking way more than usual and never on good stuff. The sugar was causing me to crave more sugar and so the story goes on. Sugar makes me want sugar makes me want sugar. With SP, I eat real meals 3 times a day and snack on healthy things with a little bad stuff worked in here and there. And, of course, I'm working out too. Not as much as I should or as much as I'd like but doing it nonetheless.

I am Christine, 28 yrs old from NC. I recently got married in March and we have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. I work as a 3rd shift supervisor for an alarm monitoring company and I am in school for Medical Office Assisting.

I joined the site to finally lose all the pounds that I have gained through the years and have had no success in the past of losing. I am doing the Slim Fast diet and working out 5 days a week.
