Hi Pam and welcome my name is Carol and Im new myself. I joined up 3 days ago. I have recently lost 180lbs and I have 70 more to lose. Its been a hard and yet enjoyable journey. I have learned alot in the last couple years about diet and exercise. I am currently weight training and boxing and both workouts are incredible. At 48yrs old I didnt think I would be doing either one of these. But I wanted to give you a little glimpse of what Im doing and hopefully this will help you.

First of all I would make sure you eat breakfast this is so key to losing weight this meal should not be skipped because it gets your metabolism going to start your day.

Secondly I would like to advise you to eat at least 4 to 5 small meals a day this also helps to keep your metabolism going and burning fat throughout the day. Eat things like chicken, turkey, fish and lean red meat. Dark green veggies fruits and nuts and at least 8 glasses of water a day. Find a workout that you enjoy doing like walking, dancing any type of aeorbics and a little weight training. Weight training builds muscle and the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn. I am a pastor's wife and mom to four boys in north Dakota. I have at least 50 pounds to lose. I have lost weight before using weight watchers, but was unable to keep it off (I did get pregnant!). So I am praying that I can lose some weight to be a healthier me.
