Hi and welcome back!!! I have to agree, calorie counting is essential, especially in the beginning. I know a number of people who didn't realize how many calories they were consuming each day until they started calorie counting and were shocked at how far they were off. I will tell you that over time it does get easier. I don't count calories much anymore as my body has adjusted and I've learned to listen to my body.....although I sometimes ignore it. I also took a break from making my weight loss my main focus while I concentrated on other areas of my life. But I'm getting back to where I can focus on my weight loss again and will probably start counting calories again. Good luck with your goals! We're here to cheer you on, help you up when you stumble, and celebrate when you reach a goa because we've all been there too.

Hey All! After joining in 2008 I never really committed because I though I was better than "calorie counting". Well, when the scale kept going up, I realized that I needed to gain control of what I was eating. It has blown my mind how every single thing you eat counts and matters. I'm more aware now than ever and I'm excited that this website had made it fun and pretty freaking easy!
My goals are to get lean and healthy and in control. I want this to eventually just me 2nd nature.
