Greetings & Welcome Cinnamon!!!

I know fitting in a workout can be difficult, but once you begin to do it - it becomes easier. One of the amazing things about this site is that it helps you to create new lifestyle habits so that the pounds you shed stay off.

I absolutely agree there is no way that one would rather exercise instead of hanging out the the baby. How about you incorporate the baby into your workout. I did that with my daughter when she was a baby and she loved it.

Squats- you can hold your baby in front of you and do squats. It is the equivalent of doing them with weights. As she gets bigger you are simply adding more weights.

Crunches -Lay on your back with your baby on your chest and lift up your shoulders(with the baby) up. Or you can lay the baby on your legs and lift her up. You can work out your quads, hamstrings and abs.

Just some suggestions.

I know that the nutrition tracker can be time consuming sometimes - but the good news is that once you have entered something you make or a special food that isn't listed, you can add it to your favorites and it will be there the next time! Tracking your food is so critical for monitoring your healthy habits and weight loss.

Not much time before I have to run off to work, but I thought I'd hop on and give a quick intro.

I'm Cinnamon. I work in Environmental Health, am a wife and a loving mom to my almost 10 month old bug Lily (who is currently sitting here talking to herself in a daze).

I have tried to lose weight before and succeeded in losing about 10 pounds once, but that was with dieting and hitting the gym every day. My biggest challenges are that it is very difficult for me to get on and log what I eat, not only because of the time but because a lot of the times I find that (even on here) my food isn't listed and it's just a pain trying to put it in. When you have a rambunctious baby and a house that needs cleaning, searching around for a food item isn't really worth it at the time. My other challenge is that I love the meal plan but am a fairly restricted budget and can't afford to buy the vast array of food that it says I should. We usually try to use the same foods multiple times during the week so I'll have to see if there isn't a way to edit my meal plan to allow this.

My third (I'll never say last) challenge is exercise. I would LOVE to hit up the gym. I love the gym because it is such a great stress reducer; however, my daughter is already in daycare for 10 hours during the day, I just can't seem to justify not getting to see her for a longer period of time so I can hit up the gym. Walking outside right now is out of the question because it is way too hot and by the time it cools down we are getting Lily ready for bed (trying to crib train her). We live in the boondocks so have no mall to walk around. Hopefully when we get some more money we will be getting the Wii Fit and a treadmill.

So anyways, that's me and my challenges. Aside from this little self pity rant, I like to think that I'm usually pretty upbeat. :)

Any suggestions or advice on these challenges would always be loved!
