The main advantage is that KBs will give you a fantastic cardio workout with strength training. Even doing fast interval training with traditional weights don't deliver the same benefits.

Read the Swings 101 thread as learning the fundamentals of swings is the first thing you need to do. If your form isn't good with swings then the rest of the moves won't be good either.

Feel free to post questions. There are a lot of great people on here who will offer their help!

Thanks! It does look like there are differences. Just, reading the sparkpeople article it said anything you can do with a dumbbell you can do with KB and I thought uh oh, did I make a bad purchase...
I just like trying new things and think KBs look like a new thing! Probably this weekend I will try to read all of the info on here. Thanks!

Currently swinging either a single 55 lb. or two 25 lb'ers.

Kettlebells are better in many many ways. spend some time going through the forums, there are tons of good info posts all over these from many team members.

I am not sure if it was a good idea though. I didn't like the dvd that came with it...
Is a KB better than a dumbbell in any ways?
I look forward to reading posts and learning what to do with it emoticon
