I've run a bunch of half marathons and a couple of full marathons and am so impressed by people who can train on a treadmill. I can't run more than about 2.5 miles on a treadmill before I give up. Living in Alaska, that means I run in a lot of darkness and crappy weather, but it's worth it for my mental health. More power to you, treadmill trainer! Good luck with your race!

Hi Skirnir,
I am using the run keeper 'beginner half marathon to finish'. The plan actually starts on July 26th, and the race is on Nov 13th, so about 16 weeks of training.
Since I have had a long break from running, and I've just started on the treadmill, presently I am concentrating on build my weekly mileage to 3-5k per day, 5 days a week, till the 24th.

I am a very slow runner, slowly plodding along :), but notice that being on the treadmill, forces me to maintain the speed throughout, so thats good.

I have walked two half marathons and I am trying to add in some running, but for me it has been slow going. Thought I was almost ready for a 10K, but then had some knee issues. Will look into this beginner half marathon program. What are your workouts like so far? Oh, and I get the fun or lack thereof using a treadmill for such training. I had one in Wisconsin and used it when it was cold or snowy, etc. and oh, my gosh, is it hard to do 13.1 miles on a treadmill. So easy to just want to quit.

Been on SP before, then went away for a long time and now back again with 20lb to lose.
SP was the reason I started walking and then running, and now training for my second half marathon. (did my first in 3:30 and walked almost 99% of the way)

Love running outdoors, but since moving to India, it has not been very enjoyable (or safe), so invested in a treadmill, but will still try to get an occasional run done outside.

So, yes, I am training for a HM on a treadmill...

If I finish the plan, (using runkeepers 'Beginner half marathon' plan) hoping to do a HM in November.

So, if you are looking for a HM training partner, do post here please, would love to have some to keep myself accountable. :)
