How's your training going? I just looked up your race and am mighty impressed. 10 water stops along the course and yet the race is only $35? That must be a record!

Good luck training. It is a great goal, and a great way to reduce the post baby weight.

I love to run, partly, for the ME time away from a noisy, busy house. Enjoy.

You'll be able to do it. It you start you rtraining and stick to it.

Get that training started, but don't rush it. If it looks like you have to postpone that half, do so, don't hurt yourself trying to get it done. Or you could allow yourself to run a slow half, if you are trained enough to do it for much emphasis on time. IE feel free to walk some if you need to, etc. What I am trying to say in my slightly long winded way is don't hurt yourself in doing a race you aren't prepared for.

Hi!
I ran a half marathon in 2009 and am hoping to run another this spring. Since 2009 I've gained 40 pounds (1/2 of it is baby weight) and I have a 10 month old.

Yikes!

And did I mention that the half marathon is in 10 weeks and I'm starting to train TODAY?

Double Yikes!

And apparently the course has hills.

Triple Yikes!

For more about me, head over to my spark page. In the meantime, I'm going to hit the gym.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!
