Okay, I'm excited to find this group! I thought I was the only one who indulged in Sparking instead of working... I try to keep it to just a bit in the morning reading some articles when I first get in to start the day right, then just tracking food I eat through the day, but we all know that doesn't always work...

I've been an on-and-off member of Sparkpeople for a while now. I keep saying I want to lose, and I love the tools here, then I just don't do it. Well, I'm starting smaller this time and I'm determined to give myself as few excuses as possible. I'm just tracking right now to get myself into the habit, and while I'm trying to be aware and eat healthier, I'm not making major changes that won't stick. I'm also commiting to 10 minutes a day of exercise when I have some time in the mornings before work anyway, since trying to get myself to do 30 min a day hasn't worked in the past. I also bought a pedometer to start getting myself motivated to get up and move around more at work during the day.

Hi - I'm Robin - and yes I look at this while at work! (I'm usually doing it to log my food - and well, keep looking from there for a bit!). I am just getting started and I find it very inspirational and get lots of motiviation by looking at everyone's progress! It's also good to see that other people have struggles and issues with what they are trying to do health wise - and it is so wonderful at the support and encouragement you get here! MUCH NEEDED!!

Hi, I am Autumn, and I should be working. (I imagine everyone saying, “Hiii, Autumn.”) I joined SP last year and soon after joined weight watchers. Over the past year I slowly began to gain the weight back. Now, I am back on weight watchers, running, and doing triathlons! I hope to lose 50 lbs., and lose several by my 30th birthday.

Teaching is like being pecked to death by a duck!

I'm new to this team - I joined SP in January when my trainer told me to start tracking calories. An on line search for free calorie tracker got me here and WOW - this site has been very helpful.
I am 14 pounds away from my 1st goal weight and working hard to get there. I have lost 16 so far since late Oct. 2009. Most of it has come off in the past 3 months.
And yes, I need to get back to work!

They just added the Spark to our intranet here at work. I think they are trying to tell us something emoticon Just kidding. I really enjoy spark it helps to have that extra support. It also makes loosing weight a little more fun.

I've been a Sparker for about 3 years, off and on. Last spring, I lost 25 pounds. It's still off, and now I'm going after that last 10!

Now that I have a 8-5 job, the computer is just so convenient. Spark just had to happen again.

emoticon Just like the Children of Israel had to have a new beginning, I need one to. I've been out of touch for so long, please try to understand, that the sister need some help. I love my little sister Lora, she has been a great help for me, she is a very good encourager. I will make this my time to get myself in shape, and to get healthy. I need to get some serious weight off of this body. At present, I tip the old scale at 200+ pounds. I am a 20 year retired US. Air Force Veteran. Let me tell you a little more about me, and how, I became so out of shape. After I retired from the Air Force, I gained over 100 pounds, how? I stopped doing exercise, I started eating out more, and lost touch with some of my old buddies that helped me stay on track, while I was in the Air Force, so I gained weight, this is not an excuse, but it is the fact of the matter, so why am I here at Spark People, well the answer is this... I need your help, and I know that with my sisters Lora and Regina giving me their support, I will get down to my goal weight again.

Hello - Saw this team on another persons sparkpage and just had to laugh...bacause I was, at that time, logged on at work! I mean, when you work the hours that most of us do...you're bound to, right?!
