I understand as well, I try to throw myself totally into the class and work as hard as I can, But last thursday I OVER did and was sore and achy all the next day. you're just having so much fun you don't realize it. Hope you get better soon and get back to it soon . maybe just take it alittle easier.

Oh I totally agree! I started doing 45 minutes a day, and in a one month period of time, managed to twist my knee, strained a rib muscle and gave myself heel pain from doing it with the wrong shoes and sometimes with no shoes. These issues have resolved themselves, but I learned the hard way to work up to the longer classes slowly and wear the correct shoes. It's just so much fun I took these things for granted. Now I am still doing it consistently but give myself periods of rest, and am happily injury free. emoticon

Hello all,
I got the Total Body Transformation Set for Christmas and have been using it twice a week. I've been incorporating Zumba in with Leslie Sansone DVDs and walking outside (I'm in training to walk a half marathon). However, I have managed to give myself a doozy of an overuse injury to my chest/shoulder muscles, along with a pinched nerve in my neck. I think I ramped up too quickly--Zumba is deceptive! :) I'm not complaining, except to say I can't do Zumba right now and it's beyond aggravating! I have found an exercise I really enjoy and want to get back to it...just a word of caution to folks who may be new to Zumba. Don't overdo!
