Hi everyone,

I'm Aylamay, or Ayla. I live right now in Bourbonnais, in a nursing home for the mentally ill. I have lived here for a year on the 15th. I used to take care of my parents, but it got to be too much for me. It literally mad me nuts. I am doing much better now, and I am planning to move closer to Chicago, to the western suburbs in a couple of months.

I have been bipolar for most of my life. I have been on disability for 13 years. Before then I worked on and off, but I always had difficulties. I have one brother, but he is okay. My father is bipolar, and Mom has depression.

I am working very hard to get back into the community. The nursing home staff have been very helpful to me. When I got here, I didn't want to ever leave, and now I can't wait to get out of here and begin my new life.

I have a cat who is staying with my brother, and I can't wait for him to join me. I have a niece and a nephew, and I enjoy visiting with my Mom and Dad in Assisted Living.
