Welcome Dawn. The first year is hard and yours got even harder with your fall. I also did the keto diet for a while. I liked it a lot. I hope it works well for you. I had triple negative bc, stage 2b and I'm three years out. What kind of bc did you have. It sounds like our treatments were very similar.

Welcome to the team! Sorry you've had a rough year. I had a rough year when I found out I had BC. I had gone thru major surgery prior to being diagnosed with BC. So in a matter of a few months, I had about 7 surgeries. I feel that all of this made me stronger and more determined cuz I remained on track for losing weight.

My name is Dawn and I am 44. On May 6, 2015 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I spent 2.5 months waiting on my bilateral mastectomy and then the whirlwind of chemo. I finished chemo on Dec 28 with 10 tx of taxol. Thanks to the nasty drug, I fight with neuropathy in my feet on a daily basis. I did 6.5 weeks of radiation and finished that on Feb 18. On Nov. 7 I am getting my implants and I am SO excited emoticon . This year hasn't been all that great again because in June I slid on a wet spot on my hardwood floor and fractured by tibia and ankle, so I have been off for the summer again. If I would have worn my shoes like I always do and not think that I can make a quick trip to the washer, I would not be in this position. I just got the ok last Friday that I can start to bear weight on my leg and drive. When I had my accident, I had just started at the Planet Fitness that opened up the week before. I got 2 workouts in. I am so ready to get back in there, but my leg and foot are my high priority right now. I decided to do the Ketogenic diet or low carb, moderate protein and high fat. It seems to be the one that will help me the most and it is a forever eating style. I am addicted to sugar and bread and after all the research I am doing it seems to be the best.

Thank you for "listening". I hope to see more of everyone.
