Welcome Tamara!

I'm sorry to hear about your breast cancer, but glad that you found us. We have a daily thread if you care to join us.

Congratulations on being half-way through chemo. It's strange how some people gain weight and some people lose it during chemo. I was a "loser" and can relate to your days of not being able to eat for the first few days after each cycle. Peanut butter on toast and frozen juice pops were my "go to" foods when I didn't feel like eating. I also found home-made cole slaw appealing for some strange reason. What have you found to eat that you like? Everyone is different.

I've been lurking and reading without introducing myself. I got my diagnoses in January and had a lumpectomy with a later resection in May. Discovered the joy of hearing clear edges.

I'm now halfway through chemo (2 more infusions to go!) I've stopped tracking my weight because I lose 8 - 10 lbs the week after chemo. I just can't eat for about 4 days. Then after I can eat I gradually come back to almost my original weight. So I'm creeping down a couple pounds every 3 weeks but there's kind of a roller coaster.

I am meeting with a nutritionist after I finish chemo and before radiation starts.
