Welcome Ruby,
I am glad that you are here. I am currently battling breast cancer. I have one chemo treatment left, and then I will have 36 radiation treatments. I feel like walking is helping me to get my strength back. emoticon emoticon
Take care.

Welcome Ruby. That is great that you were in such good shape before your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with stage 2b (with node involvement) triple negative BC just over a year ago. I think you will bounce back quickly from Taxol. I had that first and then AC. The Taxol got wearing toward the end so I understand your cutting back on walking right now, but I think you will be able to be walking soon. I hope you aren't having any problems with neuropathy. I had it only very mildly with Taxol, but many people really have a problem with it.

Wishing you the best.

Kay from Tennessee

I am HER2+ and ER+. I had a double mastectomy May 28 and started 12 weekly chemo infusions June 25 - Sept. 10 of Taxol and Herceptin. Now I am on Herceptin every three weeks for nine months. I know God motivated me to get in the best shape of my adult life for this battle. Before diagnosis, I was walking 30+ miles over six days every week. I have managed to lose a little weight, even though many people gain on chemo. I also managed to walk three or four days a week on chemo until the last week. I am starting back with two .63 mile walks daily until I get some stamina back. We have a very hilly street, so it is a challenge right now. I will start a pill chemo for the ER+ at some point. There was just a tiny bit of that on one of the five sites, but there was no lymph node involvement. I am praying daily the cancer will not come back!!! I believe God has prepared me for victory!!
