Thank you all!

Carolyn, I have a problem with being chronically anemic; the degree of it varies. I get a CBC done before every chemo, which is 3 times per month. I just had a blood transfusion on Wednesday because my hemoglobin was too low. Most of the time I am pretty good at pacing myself and planning my activities so that I do not do too much in one day.

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

I'm so sorry that your cancer has spread and is not curable. I hope the treatments continue to give you more years.I am a 6 yr survivor, surgery, chemo, radiation, more chemo, drug study, and reconstruction, and know that the chemo wears you down. Be sure to keep checking your blood cells, and don't get anemic if you can help it. our group is remarkably supportive and loving.
We surround you with understanding, prayers, and hugs.
Carolyn

Hello!
I've been a member of Spark for over 7 years; my name is Shari.

I will try to keep my introduction brief; my story is kind of long and it's already on my Sparkpage.

I was first diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in May 2003; I had a bilateral mastectomy without reconstruction, followed by chemo and radiation.

My cancer returned early in 2007, in my bones. It's not curable at this stage, but it's still treatable. I've been through more radiation since then, and after oral meds failed, I went back on chemo in April 2010. I have been on a few different kinds since then. Right now I am on Abraxane, which I started in June. I also get monthly Zometa infusions for my bones. Right now, my cancer is stage IV.

I found out about this team through some of my Spark friends that post on a couple of other cancer survivor teams I am on.

I just turned 50 in September; I am single, and I am a "mom" to 2 very spoiled cats.
