Welcome to the team, Roundrocker! Though I have not had breast cancer, I have learned so much from these women that has helped me as I work with breast cancer survivors & their families. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome Rhonda and Joy! I just joined this team today.

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

Welcome, Joy. So nice to "meet" you! Though I'm not a breast cancer survivor, I work for a foundation that offers support services & celebrations of life for survivors & those who love them. The women on this team are inspiring, generous, and beautiful. You'll fit right in!

Hi,
My name is Joy and I finished my treatment in March 2013. I, like many people gained weigh in treatment, but I've battled with weight my whole life. I've done Spark People before - years ago. I reset my goals and was happy to see a group for breast cancer survivors. I look forward to checking in.

WOW what a great group glad I found you all.
I had a lumpectomy in Feb 2011, hystercomy Feb 2012. It has taken this long to get back to doing things. This year I had a garden, planted flowers, worked in flower beds - had holly bushes removed then had to clean them out. & I have been mowing my grass. It's a hard road but it can be done. Remember CANcer starts with CAN.

I heard my diagnosis on Halloween 2007 (Trick or Treat!!)

Since then I have had a mastectomy, chemo, radiation, more chemo, and a research study that may or my not have been more chemo. July a year ago I had reconstruction.

It has been a long road.
I once asked my nurse when I could start calling myself a survivor. She said, "Well, you're alive, aren't you?"
So I count from the day of the surgery - soon it will be 6 years.
Welcome to our great group! We walk similar, but not exactly the same, journies.
hugs,
Caro
